Growing up in Assam, India, Sampriti had a natural interest in music from a very young age, thanks to her parents love of the arts. She started singing at the age of 5 and her earliest memories are of her running off to the nearest club house to learn music, dance, art, etc while her Mother looked for her. She grew in confidence on stage with performances and prizes for participation in local singing and poetry competitions.
