Darryl Walters Jr., known professionally as Combz, is an American rapper and songwriter from Columbus, Ohio. He was born on May 30, 1991 to Tawana Byers and Darryl Walters Sr. The rapper was raised in a middle-class family, splitting his time between his mother and father. His father was a janitor at his school, which led to him being bullied, physically and verbally. Combz’ name was derived from kids at school teasing him, saying that he resembled the light brown, crazy-haired mascot for the Honeycombs cereal. The name stuck and was eventually shortened to Combz.
