Lisathe is an Australian trio formed following a series of improvised performances by Brendan Clark, Oliver Thorpe and Miles Thomas. The self titled debut release is a collection of music written by composers from Iceland. They interpret the source material in a way that renders each piece anew - each song is a new vista in and of itself whilst remaining true to the intentions of the composers. Lisathe’s sound is one of experimentation fused with familiar, homely textures that recalls the likes of Bill Frisell, Charlie Haden and Daniel Lanois.
