Doctor Roberts early musical influences were rooted in his attendance at the Notting Hill Carnival, where he was exposed to various floats and sound systems from a young age. Growing up in London, he was surrounded by Soca and Reggae music, which was frequently played by his Trinidadian and Tobagonian parents. During his teenage years, Dr. Roberts discovered the rave jungle and DnB scene through listening to tape packs of events such as Telepathy Jungle Fever, which inspired him greatly.
