Florida native J. Cook always had an ear for music. While playing musical instruments in Middle School he was able to hone his vocal skills by learning proper techniques like breathing and posture. Being heavily influenced by artists like D’Angelo, Maxwell, Aaliyah, Beyonce and Luther Ingram as time progressed, J. Cook was able to also hone his vocal skills by listening to these artists. After finding his ground in college as a singer-songwriter, J.Cook is now giving soothing soul capturing vocals that ensnares anyone who listens.
