Formed in 2020, Abilene is a quartet whose cinematic compositions marry classical and modern elements with an emphasis on narrative storytelling. Electronics, percussion and textures made with household items often supplement the core instrumentation of Joshua Spacht, piano; Katie Berry, violin and vocals; Gaylyn Foto, cello and vocals; and David A.
