Hendriks' career began as lead singer, songwriter and guitarist with The Stiffs (formed in Blackburn, Lancashire in 1977). Their singles "Inside Out", "Volume Control" and "Goodbye My Love" between 1979 and 1981 were all played extensively on the radio, earning them the status of 'radio hits'. Phil was touring guitarist with Les McKeown's Bay City Rollers from 2011 to 2021, performing tours in countries including Japan, Canada, Australia.
