Berlin-based quartet Peripheral Cortex makes brutal, highly complex music that is clearly rooted in European technical death metal, but at the same time the band is not afraid to include unorthodox sounds into their compositions. With influences ranging from Necrophagist to Pat Metheny and Mike Patton’s projects, the cacophonic tech death of Peripheral Cortex has very little care for the conventions of extreme metal.
