Moongold is an American band of rotating members based in Denver, CO and Washington, DC. Heavily influenced by soul music of the 60s and 70s, Moongold started as a Downtempo project combining sampled rare soul records and live instrumentation. Over time Moongold has taken a more traditional soul, rhythm and blues sound as members have moved in and out of the project. They have been compared to other American artists such as Lake Street Dive and The Night Sweats.
