Greg Yasinitsky, one of the most published composers in jazz, created his YAZZ Band as a laboratory for his big band compositions and saxophone playing. The band features Pacific Northwest based improvisors and ensemble veterans. YAZZ Band has released two versions of Yasinitsky's original holiday tune, It's Santa! and two albums—YAZZ Band: New Normal, recorded during the pandemic, and the ensemble's debut disc, YAZZ Band.
