Øyvind Mathisen is a Norwegian trumpeter, composer, and bandleader, educated at the Music Conservatory in Trondheim. Mathisen leads the bands ØyvindLAND, Get Your Goat and the Øyvind Mathisen Trio. He has performed over 70 concerts in Norway and Europe with his own original music and released three albums, "Malerier"(2020), "Get Your Goat"(2022) and "Nonett"(2023). A significant inspiration for Mathisen's melodic and harmonic concepts as a composer is the legend Thelonious Monk.
