Sobre MONO NO AWARE
Shukei Tamaoki and Seijun Kato both come from Hachijo-jima (an island 287 km off of Tokyo, and also a part of Tokyo), and while in college (in mainland Tokyo) they met Ayako Takeda and Yutaka Yanagisawa. As a result, though their foundation is pop, their music has a diverse cultural feel, their melodies taking unexpected twists and turns with lyrics filled with unique word plays.
