An indie electronic dance-pop producer from London, England, David E. Sugar released a variety of underground material, much of it online, before jumping to the trendsetting French label Kitsuné Music in 2007. Sugar, who both produces and sings his music, first began to make a name for himself with Fresh Off the Chip (2006), a six-track freely downloadable MP3 release on 8bitpeoples.
