Pop vocalist and songwriter Aubrey O'Day grew up as a stage performer and attended the University of California, Irvine, where she earned a bachelor's degree in political science. A few years later, she auditioned for the third season of Diddy's Making the Band television series and was the first singer to become a member of the group the show spawned, Danity Kane.
