b. Everald Thomas, Spanish Town, Jamaica, West Indies. The sensitivity and maturity of Gospel Fish’s lyrics distinguish him from many of his peers. He was brought up in Thompson Pen, where his Rasta father taught him hand drums. DJ Jimmy Crazy named him Gospel Fish after hearing him sing in the local church choir.
