After the breakup of Industrial duo Chemlab in 1997, Jared Hendrickson found himself deep in debt, working as an investment banker on Wall Street and about as far from his musical past as he could get. He had no outlet for his creativity, beyond writing and began to feel the itch to begin anew. His first post-Chemlab album, Covergirl, was born out of that yearning for a project.
