The World Wide Message Tribe unites the church and the dancefloor, fusing house grooves onto lyrics of Christian inspiration. The British band formed in the early '90s with Elaine Hanley, Andy Hawthorne, and David Mark Pennells, Jr. After releasing several albums to a strictly European gospel audience, the group made their stateside debut with 1996's We Don't Get What We Deserve, on Warner Bros.
