Minako Ohashi, known professionally as Fayray, was born on April 18, 1976, in Japan. She is a singer-songwriter who grew up listening to American music from the 1970s and 1980s with her parents, which significantly influenced her musical style. At age four, she began playing classical piano. Fayray made her debut in July 1998 with the single "Taiyō no Gravity" and signed a recording contract with Antinos Records.
