Jung Pil-kyo, professionally known as Shin Hye-sung, was born on November 27, 1979, in Seoul, South Korea. He rose to fame as the main vocalist of the iconic South Korean boy band Shinhwa. He debuted with Shinhwa on March 24, 1998, with their single "해결사" (The Solver), and has since built a catalog with the group including thirteen Korean and one Japanese studio album releases. Shin Hye-sung launched his solo career in 2005 with the release of his album Love of May, which topped the HMV pre-order sales chart in Japan, selling 180,000 copies.
