Based in Washington, D.C., the duo have been a major force in the underground house scene, following the likes of Deep Dish and Danny Tenaglia. Saeed Younan is of Iraqi decent and immigrated to the U.S. when he was 13. Palash Ahmed's family came to America from Bangladesh when he was eight. Upon entering the Virginia Commonwealth University in 1994, Younan met Ahmed. The two became fast friends over their love of music and christened themselves Saeed & Palash.
