You could say Darren Beachley got his chops from a long line of vocalists and musicians on both his mother and father’s side of the family. By the time he was 11, he was performing upright bass in his father’s bluegrass band, had already learned mandolin, and was gearing up to hit the road to tour as a guitarist for various bluegrass outfits. Beachley rose to prominence in the bluegrass sphere when he joined Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver as its lead vocalist and guitarist and toured the globe for four years.
