The Tranq emerged on the Swedish alternative music scene in the early 2010’s. With their quirky and original blend of 80’s new wave, Swedish melancholia and political lyrics, the band garnered some attention in the independent music world. With the releases of Peninsula EP in 2011 and the debut album Loss is for the masses in 2013, The Tranq established their own musical identity. After this, the band’s productivity slowed down for some years with the exception of the single Seasons in 2016 along with some remixes.
