Roberto Zanetti (Savage) was born in Massa, on November 28, 1956. After an early career as a keyboard player in several bands, including one featuring Zucchero, he decided to focus on writing and producing English dance tracks, following the Italodisco trend that was booming at the time. In 1983, he released his first single, Don’t Cry Tonight, which became an immediate hit and brought him to major Italian TV shows.
