Rob's musical journey began at an early age, where he started taking drum lessons at the age of 6 and later pursued the guitar at 11. He continued his passion for music and studied jazz guitar at the conservatory music school in Zwolle, where he was exposed to different genres like jazz, fusion, and Latin music.
