Bred from an unkempt mansion on Capitol Hill in Burnaby, British Columbia, Zee and the Empties blend of hip-hop, Soul, R&B, and Rock n’ roll has been in the making for years. The neighbours just love them! Zee’s lyrics and unorthodox flow are a product of a mixing pot of influences from many genres. Cradled in Balzac, Alberta and raised in Burnaby, B.C., Zee uses characters within his music to combat social issues in an optimistic, feel-good manner. The Empties use live instruments to hold down complex beats which accentuate Zee’s laid-back lyrical stylings.
