Originally from Ottawa, Lisa Hu bounced around North America for much of her childhood. This wealth of experience informs the widescreen scope of her lyrics and melodies. Already a gifted covers artist, in 2018 Lisa adopted the stage name ‘murphy.’ and began writing her own material.
