b. 1975, Hungary. Playing piano from the age of four, Szabo studied in Pecs, then Budapest. During the late 90s he won prizes in Lithuania and Hungary and at the Montreux Jazz Festival, performing there and at the IAJE conference in New York City. In 2001, he studied at the Henry Mancini Institute in Los Angeles and two years later attended New England Conservatory of Boston as a Fulbright scholar.
