Southern Lakes, or Simon Middleton, is a multi-instrumentalist artist, producer, singer-songwriter. His influences come from the likes of Nils Frahm, who he admires for his work ethic and overall ambient sound. He also draws from Leifur James, Jordan Rakei, Bonobo and From Indian Lakes. His inspiration for creating music comes from his deep connection to the vast hills of the South Downs. He feels at home amongst nature and spent his time whilst growing up walking the hills and running out in the tranquil wilderness.
