Born and raised in Southern California, Jack Mendenhall spent his youth bouncing from instrument to instrument until becoming a (pun intended) jack of all trades and master of none. He started writing songs in high school with an emphasis on storytelling and humor. Jack started Cartoon Choir as a recording project while living in Portland, OR. He recorded a 5 song EP titled "The Internet & Mythical Creatures" in, musical wizard, Seán Quinn's apartment aiming to create songs that utilized aquatic guitar tones and fun stories.
