Mary (pronounced: ma-ruh; Polish for „phantoms” and “deathbed”) is a Polish black metal/d-beat band based around Warsaw. Their songs are built on fast-paced, catchy riffs and authentic Polish folklore. The lyrics talk about superstition and old wives’ tales from deep within the countryside, all served with striking choruses and smashing melodies. Their debut, self-titled EP is a conceptual story of a haunted village, where eerie stories of our grandfathers have become reality in warped village customs.
