"Tucker" was what we called ourselves for our first live show, in 1997. We quickly changed the name to Jiyuna and recorded albums and played shows throughout the southeast U.S. Our lame guitar work and my-first-drum-set rhythms were thankfully overpowered by high-pitched screeching vocals. In the beginning, awkward stage presence and shoddy equipment were the norm. But over the nearly 9-year history, and with an ever-evolving cast of music-makers, we all learned a lot about music and began to create great songs. Shoot 'em in your face, shoot 'em in yer butt...
