Dwayne Côté is a violinist from the Cape Breton Island , Nova Scotia, Canada. Dwayne is the son of the Fiddler and Piper Gordon Côté, and the step dancer Gladis Côté. He grew up in the Celtic music tradition and started playing professionally at the age of 13 years old where he started touring with Cape Breton artists. Dwayne was trained at the royal conservatory of Toronto, where he perfected his skills and knowledge of classical music. Nowadays he is a prolific musician and composer excelling in the traditional Scottish Style Celtic music, as well as in Jazz and classical styles.
