Ruben Jai is a songwriter from Chicago, Illinois. Influenced by the contemplative open tunings and lyricism of greats like Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, Arthur Russell, and Adrianne Lenker their songs focus on place , ecology, memory, family, and the relationships between them. They released their first EP “Present for You” in 2019 followed by two singles “Neighborhood Planets” and “Washburn” in 2022 and 2023.
