A forthright and vulnerable lyricist, Nina Raquel is an independent singer and songwriter currently living in Los Angeles, California. Originally from a small town in Rochester, N.Y., Nina Raquel began writing music as a means to cope: "I had friends but I always felt lonely and misunderstood as one of very few people of color in my school and neighborhood.
