Strawberry Sun originated in 2022 as a busking act performing near Strawberry Fields in NYC’s Central Park, composed of guitarists Casey Rabito and Joe Asprea, drummer Garret Luongo, bassist Bo Zhang and saxophonist Isaac "Algonzo" Ketter. They soon became regulars across the NYC club circuit and honed their sound as an instrumental fusion group with elements of jazz, funk and psych rock. Their live shows became an exploration of their original work, with performances featuring an improvisational and jam band-style approach.
