The project of musical and marital partners Heather Larimer and Brian Naubert, Portland, Oregon-based indie rock band Corvair looked to various examples of Larimer and Naubert’s love of idiosyncratic pop for their crisp, melodic songs. The group began in 2019, but they recorded the majority of their self-titled 2021 debut album while sheltering during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Their sophomore set, Bound to Be, arrived in June 2023 and explored a more varied and occasionally darker range of tones.
