Starkblau is a moniker of guitarist / songwriter / producer - Chris Starkey. Born in Ireland to English parents, and having cut his teeth in bands while coming of age and traveling from New Zealand, Starkey has trouble identifying with one singular place. This is seemingly reflected in his perspective on music, which isn’t grounded in any one singular genre. Drawing inspiration from treasured finds in his own obsessive odyssey of music consumption, Starkblau’s sound is ever evolving but consistently crafted with honesty, artistry and soul.
