Joey Nowyuk is a chart-topping, award-winning singer and songwriter from Pangnirtung, Nunavut. Raised by a community that instilled in him the value of culture and language, the roots and indie-rock musician started writing songs as a child. He first picked up the guitar as a teenager when a travelling music workshop came to his hometown and he’s been playing ever since.
