PCNERD was Ruby Casey's first release project, focusing on learning electronic music production exploring different synth sounds. The first PCNERD releases on soundcloud date back to early 2015, however she didn't start distributing her music to streaming services until 2018 with PCNERD Records (now Zircon Records). The name PCNERD comes from a previous online alias "pcnerd19" but has since been retired.
