CHATEAU was born in the college town of Ann Arbor, Michigan, where 3 friends began experimenting with heavy-autotune processed vocals over synth-wave beats and eventually found chemistry between their vocals and flows. Originally, CHATEAU was just a name for their clothing brand, but Ary (@arysxnha) and Lo (Lohithpula) pitched the idea to Ani (Aniketnednuri), and the trio collectively stuck with it—letting the aesthetic evolve naturally.
