The backbone of Babs & the babes is the married couple Barbro Petersen and Lasse Nilsson. Barbro and Lasse became a couple in 2010. Both Barbro and Lasse have experience of the music profession as they were active already in the early 80's. Already during the first year together, they began to perform in some smaller contexts and then quickly discovered that they have two voices that work very well together.
