My name is Speakeasy and I use the art of rhythm and poetry to tell stories. The aim of my practice is to compose sonic reflections of my experience that provide the listener with a unique lens through which to see. My debut release ‘Dad’s Truck Mix’ is a Hip-Hop concept album that tells the story of learning from one’s past and deciding one’s own destiny by embracing who one truly is. Each song is simultaneously a self-contained experience and a chapter in the overall narrative.
