Raised in the desert of Tucson, Arizona to a musical mama I have been writing since I could spell. Poems and songs felt magical because I thought 'spelling' meant that words were magical when combined- like alchemy. (I still think they are) At 18 I moved to Eugene, Oregon where I was enveloped into a town full of magical musicians and towering talking trees. I worked on an apple orchard for a few years and spent my Saturdays selling fruit at the market and busking with the local street musicians.
