Born and raised in Shelby, NC, Mason first picked up the guitar when he was 11 after receiving it as a Christmas gift. From there, Mason took to YouTube to learn his favorite riffs on the electric guitar. When Mason was age 12, he enrolled in a guitar class in junior high as an “excuse to play guitar during school hours."
