Azrael is Angel Datil's musical persona. The name means "Angel of God" or "Help from God" in Hebrew, but it's also the name of the angel of death in some cultures. Azrael felt he had the reverse Midas touch, and everything he touched died. This feeling came from the unfortunate betrayals and struggles he faced as a teenager. As he got older, his music got darker as he detailed his issues with drug abuse and depression. Azrael graduated from high school with a 3.6 GPA and a music scholarship.
