Sobre Juliet
Known by just her first name, sultry-voiced chanteuse Juliet Richardson's genre-straddling brand of ice cool electro-pop drew influences from acts as varied as My Bloody Valentine, Daft Punk, and Jeff Buckley. Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1980, she attended the Life Center Academy in Burlington, NJ before fronting synth pop outfit 1 Plus 1, whose divisive techno reworking of the Runaways' "Cherry Bomb" became a minor hit in the early noughties. Disenchanted with the sugary pop direction they were heading in, she shaved her head, performed in black instead of pink, and changed the band's name...
