A New Zealand-born singer/songwriter, Luke Thompson was an immediate success upon the release of his first album, 2007′s Here on the Ground. His discovery at a festival led to a scholarship year at his choice of music school; Thompson then met producer Nik Manders and convinced him to produce a single that the young artist had been working on as a school assignment.
