MattUU is the musical moniker of Matt Jaekel, a Canadian singer-songwriter, producer, & multimedia artist. In addition to his solo efforts—ranging from chiptune soundtracks to ambient escapes & acoustic asides—Matt is a prolific presence within Niagara's New Alternative Scene, operating the label Routine Exploits & fronting experimental rock band Sunshine Express. / Matt spent his formative years self-learning guitar, drums, & music production.
