Sobre Kansas Plates
Minneapolis instrumentalists Kansas Plates released their first collection of music entitled Operator in April 2019, imagining a world where Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed moved to Germany to join Can instead of settling down in Nashville. In March of 2020, the band recorded their self-titled follow up which they plan to release in spring 2021. Moving away from country picking and American roots, Kansas Plates find themselves in the cosmos of sonic experimentalists such as Tortoise, Isotope 217, and Bill Frisell.
