It was during 2020’s lockdown that Sun Scene’s producer/guitarist Austin Mendenhall sent a grab bag of instrumental ideas to singer/songwriter Tiff Ortiz, sparking a brand new collaboration - and the upcoming EP, What We Carry With Us. Reflecting on the pandemic’s winding journey while working remotely between Denver and NYC, Ortiz and Mendenhall were immediately able to hone in on a theme and feeling, while uniquely complimenting each other’s styles.
